You know what, there is nothing to say about Steve Smith.
Words fall short to describe a Hercules. has made a come back with a bang and
in each Test innings, he is reaching towards greatness. The best deliver
against the best and that is how greatness is achieved. He is the best batsman
in the world right now. No one comes even closer to him.
But, I do have something to say about Jack Leach.
He is a special character. He won't make you forget him so
easily - either from a positive point of view or negative.
Not so long ago, he out-batted the English top-order with a
patient innings against the Irish and then showed his determination with the
bat, yet again in one of the most thrilling Test matches ever played in the
history of Test cricket.
That single at Leeds during that nervy run-chase along with
Ben Stokes ensured him stardom and now in the 74th over of Australia's innings
today, he delivered a no-ball, which denied England the most precious wicket of
Smith.
Smith went on to script his third Ashes double ton leaving
England pondering what might have been the scenario had Leach not over-stepped!
A moment of joy turned into despair when the umpires called Smith back to the
crease.
Leach hit the headlines again. Leach is the talk of the
town. Leach is trending in social media.
Australia have gifted England a huge scoreboard pressure,
which demands a fightback and I think, Leach might come into action yet again,
with the bat to help England.
Thank You
