In the 16th minute, against the run of play, Benjamin Sesko of Slovenia attempted a screamer that shook the Danish backline.
A minute later Christian Eriksen scored to essay a wonderful story and for an hour Denmark would dominate against the smallest nation in terms of population in this tournament.
An hour later, in the 67th minute, a beautiful through ball sent Slovenia away down the left, only for the man in the middle, Gnezda Cerin but he squandered the header.
4 minutes later, Slovenia brought on fresh legs as they were trailing by just one goal and in such cases there's an opportunity for a comeback.
In the 74th minute, Slovenia won a freekick in a dangerous area, five yards out from the corner of the box. It was a curler by Erik Janza but Sporar’s flick went wide in the near post even though he was offside.
4 minutes late, the ball was swung over from a corner on the right. and Janza had time to line it up and struck with power – with a deflection to make sure Schmeichel had no chance.
Janza scored for Slovenia after 24 years in the #Euro and Slovenia looked like a different kettle of fish.
The Danish lost the momentum.
Slovenia shared points.
