How Newcastle United could shape up in future?

Newcastle United are now the wealthiest club in the Premier League and in world football following the purchase of the club by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PFI).

The takeover, led by Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is reportedly worth 300 million euros and now makes The Magpies a side that could potentially push for the Premier League in the coming years.

Several big names have been linked to Newcastle in the last few days, and this is how they could line up in the near future.

A new head coach

Rangers' Steven Gerrard has been linked with the club following the takeover, but there are stronger rumours that they could make a move for either Antonio Conte or Frank Lampard, who both have Premier League experience.

Coutinho and Bale on the radar

According to the English press, both Gareth Bale and Philippe Coutinho could be interested in moves back to England.

Coutinho enjoyed the best days of his career in the Premier League with Liverpool before moving to Barcelona, while Bale's Real Madrid contract runs out this summer which means he could opt to return to England.

Cavani, the dream striker

Prince bin Salman is a huge admirer of Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani, and according to Talksport he had him in his plans during his first attempt to but the club.

Cavani has dropped down the pecking order at Manchester United since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and the 34-year-old could make a huge impact at Newcastle who are fighting to avoid relegation this term.

A move from Paris to Tyneside?

Two names who have been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League side are Paris Saint-Germain duo Keylor Navas and Mauro Icardi.

Navas isn't happy with playing second fiddle to Gianluigi Donnarumma between the sticks and the financial muscle of Newcastle could convince him to move north.

Icardi meanwhile will struggle for consistent playing time with the current PSG front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and could therefore see a fresh start in England as a good opportunity.
