South Africa v Australia, 1st ODI, Centurion - Australia mauled by a Kock storm

Australia’s 284 for 9 in 50 overs was not that bad a total, but on such a flat track, I guess, more than 300 was expected. But the Aussies have a bowling attack which can defend any totals and above all, they are the world champions. Well, after Quinton de Kock’s murderous knock, a total of 300 would have seemed short and something around 400 would have been ideal.

Kock scored merrily on the onside, and I think, Australia bowled too straight at times in and around the middle and leg stump. But, no matter how correctly they would have bowled, Kock’s daring mindset would have chased any total at Centurion.
