There has been no rain on the final day, but the playing
conditions were not up to the mark. The outfield of Mirpur Sher-E-Bangla
cricket stadium was too waterlogged to play on, and for which the second and
final Test between Bangladesh and South Africa met a dull finish. The battle
between the bat and ball was possible only on day 1 while the rest of the four
days were washed out by the rain and overall, six days out ten had been badly
affected by the monsoon rain.
Even the one-off Test between India and Bangladesh was badly affected by the rain and so far, Bangladesh’s skill and temperament have not been tested well enough in Test cricket. It was a great opportunity for the Tigers to polish their skills and temperament by playing against the likes of India and South Africa, but the rain simply dented such. How justified is it to arrange a full-series in the month of monsoon remains a moot question.

Think twice before arranging a series during the monsoon
season.
I was eager to witnessBangladesh’s progress in Test cricket, but sadly, rain
denied not only me, but everyone from enjoying a fascinating contest.
I was eager to witness
