England v Sri Lanka, 1st Test, Leeds, Day 3 - And that's the end of the Test match!

Sri Lanka ended up the ghost without a fight. I am not at all frustrated by Sri Lanka’s dismal display at Leeds. This Sri Lankan team has the talent. They need more time to flourish and I think, the Lankan hierarchy will keep the faith in these young players and won’t take any whimsical actions. This should be a big learning curve for this young and inexperienced batting line up.

But one thing I must say, batsmen like Lahiru Thirimanne, Dinesh Chandimal and Angelow Mathews need to lift their performance in the next Test matches to instill confidence among the young players. During any transition periods, it’s the duty of the senior players to show the young guns the right track.
