It had been a privilege to witness a high quality knock from
Aiden Markram. On track which changed its character to more batting friendly
one, Markram cashed in by dishing out some eye-catching drives which were the
result of astute footwork and the nag to play with a straight bat. Playing
shots are crucial to fetch runs in South Africa and Markram proved it by not
trapping himself in a shell when the chips were down.
He was well supported by de Bruyn, whose temperament
deserves to be praised and of course, Quinton de Kock then stitched an
inspiring partnership to reminiscence the memories Justin Langer and Adam
Gilchrist at Hobart against Pakistan in 1999. But, such an adventurous thought
ebbed away as soon as Markram was dismissed.
Then Mitchell Starc had fun with the tail like Wasim Akram.
He dashed the hopes any sort of a fight back from the tail by landing the ball
at the base of stumps at pace. Australia are just one wicket away from a win.
Even though QDK is still at the crease, but the possibilities of a miracle are
less.
Thank You
