World Twenty20 2016 - Kane Williamson's captaincy was fantastic!

Tanoy Dutta dada forced me to watch tonight’s match by saying that how good my prediction was about Kane Williamson’s captaincy a few years back. Perhaps in 2014 or 15 I told him that if Brendon McCullum retires, New Zealand will have no problem at all as because Kane is aggressive, innovative and great thinker of the game like Baz

Kane Williamson is a complete package. Tonight, even though it was a Twenty20 match, Kane Williamson’s captaincy was street-smart and his ability to read the crucial moments of the game and then, capitalizing those moments at will via smart fielding setting and bowling changes had been brilliant. And he was the catalyst behind motivating his men to give their 100% on the field. Kane should be the man of the match tonight.

Then there was Ish Sodhi. In 2013, while he was touring India with the New Zealand A side, I think, I predicted that this boy should be preserved as he has the eagerness to learn and hungry for success. His legspinners looked vicious tonight and, boy, didn’t he bore fruit for his team.

I know, our Bangladeshi fans and so called experts will be busy in trolling India, but sadly, they will not highlight Kane Williamson’s astute captaincy. Since 2010, I have seen saying again and again, Kane is born to achieve greatness.

Thank You
