Real Madrid v Sevilla, La Liga 20015-16 - Zidane should not ignore Casemiro

Over the years, Real Madrid’s problem has been in the midfield. Yes, there are players like Toni Kroos, Luca Mordic, Isco and James Rodriguez, but doubts remained over Isco and Rodrguez’s inconsistency. Madrid lacked the balance and Mordic alone couldn’t provide the balance and of course, Kroos is not the ideal man as a deep midfielder.  The Los Blancos needed to utilize the players in the right way.

In comes Casemiro, a favorite player of the ex-coach Rafa Benitez, but left in the cold by the current coach Zinadine Zidane. Casemiro didn’t give up, but proved his worth in the match against Las Palmas and last night, he was brilliant in that midfield region.

Casemiro injected balance within the team with his intensity and discipline. Casemiro has the ability to win the ball back and is adept in both creation and destruction. On the right flank his ability burst into life ensures more pace in Madrid’s game and gradually he is showing the signs of becoming the Real Madrid’s midfield leader. Zidane should not ignore this Brazilian’s ability as a defensive midfielder. I think, Carlos Dunga will also give this boy the opportunity as well. I just hope so.
