Sri Lanka have scripted yet another emphatic win and have
sealed the series by a 2-0 margin. Who would have thought of such an outcome
before the start of the series and who would have even thought of such
dominating victories when the Lankans were dismissed for 117 in the first
morning of the first Test at Pallekele? Surely, I was not thinking about such. Not
even you as well.
After eight days of intriguing Test cricket, Australia were left stunned, devastated and clueless against Sri Lanka’s spin attack. The most surprising aspect of this Australian side had been, they didn’t learn anything from the mistakes of the previous Test. The Galle track required application and simple approach, but the number 1 Test team in the world made batting a rocket science and thus succumbed.
