It's a pity that one of the most successful teams in the history of ICC Champions Trophy West Indies won't feature this time around. They gifted us some great moments to cherish and their party in the darkness of London in 2004 is still fresh in my mind. I shall miss them a lot in this year's Champions Trophy.
While the rest of the teams were very much eager to confirm their ticket for the coveted multinational tournament two years ago, West Indies seemed heavily disinterested about it and securing more cash in the bank mattered more for them. For which, a mega event would be absent from Caribbean flavour. It’s pretty hard to imagine the Kennington Oval and Edgbaston without the West Indian cricketers.
