Belgium’s performance was simply brilliant last night. After
the defeat against Italy in their opening fixture, the Red Devils have bounced
back in style and delivering the sort of football which the fans and critics
love to watch. Eden Hazard dished out his best performance while, as usual,
Kevin De Bruyne proved why is he rated so highly by the football critics.
Zinedine Zidane should be after Kevin.
So far, in my opinion, no teams have lived up to their
expectations, except Germany and Belgium. Both these teams have displayed the
intent and aggression, which is needed to to lift the trophy in the mega events.
Sadly, the dream run of Hungary ended in despair. They did
push hard to stamp their authority, but it was not their night as they lacked
the class, talent and temperament when it mattered the most.
