It was one of those frustrating nights, which Cristiano
Ronaldo would love to forget. He hit the post from the penalty spot, had
another goal ruled out for offside and missed the game's other clear
opportunity.
Last night, the other ten members of the team fared well,
but their efforts went fruitless as CR7’s finish was poor. The Austrian fans
taunted him from the stands: “Messi, Messi”.
Portugal passage to the knockout round is still insecure.
Until and unless CR7 strikes gold, Portugal can’t dream big in this tournament.
